Before anything else: this app gives you information to help you decide, not instructions to follow blindly. Riding is entirely your responsibility. Never handle the phone while moving — use a mount and check the app while stopped. If real conditions are worse than the forecast, reality rules, not the app.
By using the Levante app you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app.
The app shows weather forecasts, routes and warnings meant to support a motorcyclist's decision about whether, when and how to make a trip. It is a decision-support and information tool.
The app is not a safety instrument, does not replace your own judgement of real road conditions, and does not constitute professional advice of any kind. Weather forecasts are, by definition, estimates: they can be wrong, out of date or unavailable.
Routes come from open data and may not reflect roadworks, closures, one-way restrictions or recent changes. Always obey the actual road signs, which prevail over anything the app shows.
Legislation on warnings about speed-enforcement devices differs from country to country. In some countries it is forbidden and punished with heavy fines and equipment seizure.
The app tries to respect those differences automatically: it disables warnings in countries where they are forbidden and, where the law only restricts precision, shows wide danger zones instead of exact locations. Even so, it is your responsibility to know and comply with the law of the country you ride in. If you manually enable a feature marked as restricted, you do so at your own risk.
The app depends on external weather, map and routing services, and on an internet connection for the latest data. We don't guarantee continuous availability, absence of errors or accuracy. Features may change or be discontinued.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages, losses, injuries, delays, fines or harm arising from the use — or inability to use — the app, nor from decisions taken based on the information it shows.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability arising from intent or gross negligence, nor does it affect the rights consumer law gives you.
Map and point-of-interest data come from OpenStreetMap and its contributors, available under the ODbL licence. Weather forecasts come from Open-Meteo. Route calculations use Geoapify, with OSRM as a fallback; place and address search uses Geoapify, Photon and Nominatim; fixed speed cameras come from Overpass. The map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap. These data are community-sourced or automated and may contain errors or gaps.
You may not use the app for unlawful purposes, try to circumvent technical limitations, deliberately overload the services it depends on, or redistribute it presenting it as yours.
Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these terms. In short: we collect no personal data and have no server; what leaves your device is only the coordinates being looked up and the text of your searches, sent without identifiers to the services listed in the policy — and nothing is kept by us.
These terms may be updated. The update date at the top indicates the version in force. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated version.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you habitually reside.
